Why Lion Hospice?
Commitment to People
Lion Hospice places the patient and family at the center of care planning. By working closely with physicians and caregivers, we provide comprehensive, compassionate care for individuals nearing the end of life.
Commitment to Professionalism
Lion Hospice physicians are hospice and palliative trained. Our Medical Director and many of our team physicians are board certified in hospice and palliative medicine.
Lion Hospice team members are carefully selected and trained before service to patients and families.
Commitment to Quality
Lion Hospice keeps its ratio of staff to patients lower than most other hospices to assure personalized care.
Lion Hospice was the recipient of the City of Hurst 2006 Quality Service Award.
Our Medical Director was the recipient of The Texas New Mexico Hospice Organization's 2007 Medical Director of the Year Award.
Lion Hospice maintains memberships with The National Hospice & Palliative Care Organization and The Texas New Mexico Hospice Organization.
Commitment to Full Service
All of our services are available 7 days a week, not just during the business week. The individual care plan for the patient and family orders the frequency of service, not the convenience of the staff.
Commitment to Community
Our bereavement program provides the communities we serve with Quarterly Grief Support Groups, Semi-Annual Memorial Services and Holiday Bereavement Seminars.
The following are comments received from our families:
“After having to use hospice for the first time in our family's lives, we all have nothing but praise for you and those involved. We recommend hospice to many now.”
“Your service was my best help. I do not know what I would have done without your help, support, prayer, concern and compassion. God bless you, Jesus lives and works through you.”
“My appreciation for all you have done! I thank God there is a program like yours!”
“Thank you all so very much. May God bless each one of your staff.”
